Museum etiquette encourages visitors to be respectful of the artwork and their surroundings when coming to the Museum or during guided tours. Young children should be supervised. We encourage all to ask questions. We ask that no one touch the artwork and also to stay more than an arm’s length away from the paintings.

NO FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY is permitted. The flash is like bright sunlight and damages the paintings over time. Finally, we ask that cell phones be turned off and put away as you tour the gallery unless the phone is used for taking pictures.

Docent Beth Novotny (left front), focuses on the use of color by artists, using paintings in the Filly Collection as examples. Visitors participate in an activity using the color wheel before entering the galleries to see how artists integrate color relationships in their work.
