New Master of Fine Arts Ceramic Exhibitions Opens at The Filley
Thursday December 4, 2014 http://www.lynfenwick.blogspot.com/
A visit to www.lynfenwick.blogspot.com this week will give you a sneak look at the wonderful holiday exhibit at the Vernon Filley Art Museum. Through December, holiday treasures from private collections, as well as holiday art from local artists will be on display. The Members Preview Reception will be Friday evening, Dec. 5th at 7 p.m., and the exhibit will be open for the public Saturday, Dec. 6th at 1 p.m. Since the monthly 1st Saturday Docent Tour at 1:30 falls on the same day as the public exhibit opening, if you are at the Filley at 1:30 you may enjoy a docent tour of the holiday exhibit. This is a great outing for families to get into the holiday spirit and no reservations are required!
You will see holiday treasures that are normally only seen in a visit to the owners’ homes, and you will also have the opportunity to see original works in celebration of the season done by local artists and artisans.

Please see our KCAIC grant award announcement in the Tribune: The award was used to aid the purchase of permanent artwork storage equipment to properly preserve and store the museum permanent collection. This project was supported in part by the Kansas Creative Arts Industries Commission, which receives support from the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency. We are very thankful for the generous award! Another step toward our opening in a few short months!
